Theodore Gerbig Organ & Tissue Donation Awareness Scholarship

Ted Gerbig and a group of volunteers comprised of organ recipients and donor families, established the non-profit organization (NCWDL) North Central Wisconsin Donate Life in 2007. The organization?ÇÖs purpose is to promote and bring awareness to organ and tissue donation and bone marrow and cornea donation in north central Wisconsin. Ted Gerbig was an amazing voice for the mission as well as a devoted husband, father and grandfather. Sadly, Ted passed away in 2013 exactly 10 years and one day after his own organ transplant. The Theodore N. Gerbig Organ & Tissue Donation Awareness Scholarship was created in 2016, in honor of his incredible legacy to support nursing students at NTC.
